4Good juice extractor
By Jubilee314159
This is a GE 800 watt juice extractor. It has a large feeder so fruits and vegetable don't have to be cut up into really small pieces. It has quite a large pulp tank so it doesn't need to be emptied as often as some. It also has two settings, one for softer fruits and vegetables like mango, strawberries, and pears, and one for harder fruits and veggies like apples and carrots. The extractor works very well. The only reason I rated it as a 4-star is I wish the spout where the juices comes out were a little bit longer and came away from the machine a little bit more. I'm always afraid the glass is going to move a bit with the strong vibration of the machine and the juice will end up on the counter...so far that hasn't happened yet. The machine is also very loud. This is my first juice extractor so I have nothing to compare it to but it is louder than I thought, I guess it is comparable to the noise a blender makes. I had a friend that bought one and recommended it to me. I like it, I think it works well and I would recommend it to others.

5good juicer for great price
By blu
i paid $60 for this at wal-mart. and it is really a effective juicer. it is somewhat loud. to reduce noise.. place a small square of styro-foam under it while juicing.. reduces the vibration BIG TIME.. the couter dont shake as much = this means much less noise

3You get what you pay for
By T. Lawson
I've been juicing for about 10 years now and this juicer really does not perform well. Because I've used the Jack LaLanne juicer, I am able to compare. The GE juicer is okay if you just want to get started and don't have the funds for something that costs more, but the money is well worth your health and satisfaction to buy something better. The GE juicer is very noisy. Because of the design flaw of the spout (not long enough), the juice spills all over if the container is not high enough to catch it. My husband attached plastic tubing over the spout to elongate it to fix that problem. The results of the juicing is very disappointing. It does not juice everything completely, leaving large chunks of fruit or vegetable in the pulp catcher. Also, when cleaning the pulp catcher, I noticed the pulp itself is so wet that you can get more juice out of it by squeezing it in your hand! Not Good! The pulp should be finely ground and dry. Needless to say, I have a Jack LaLa nne juicer on it's way! Meanwhile, happy juicing every one!
